Introducing Dr. Annie Cruez-Samuels
Dr. Annie Cruez-Samuels brings over three decades of experience in education, having served as a professor for 28 years and a dean for 15. With a B.S. in Life Sciences, an MBA in Business Administration, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, she offers students an unmatched depth of knowledge and academic guidance.
For the past 14 years, Dr. Annie has dedicated herself to tutoring students from K–12 through college and beyond. Her specialties range from standardized test preparation (SAT, ACT, PSAT, TOEFL, Gifted & Talented exams, and state achievement tests) to advanced academic support in subjects like AP US and World History, AP Psychology, ELA, math, science, reading comprehension, British English, and more. She also works with students on college essays, research papers, and even graduate-level theses and dissertations, offering expert instruction in both APA and MLA formats.
Dr. Annie’s teaching approach is rooted in clear communication, patience, and a strong partnership with both students and parents. She believes that a supportive, individualized learning environment—built on trust and motivation—can empower students to thrive academically and personally. Her students describe her as “family,” praising her ability to make even the most challenging topics fun, engaging, and easy to understand.
Born in Malaysia and raised in a South Indian household, Dr. Annie is multilingual and brings a rich global perspective to her teaching. She loves traveling, cooking a variety of cuisines, and connecting with students from all backgrounds.
